The satta matka words every chart uses — ank, panna, jodi, open, close, SP/DP/TP, red jodi, cut digit and sangam — explained in plain language with examples.
| Ank (single) | A single digit from 0 to 9. Add up a panna's three digits and keep only the last digit — that is its ank. |
| Panna / Patti / Panel | A three-digit number written from smallest to largest digit, 0 counting as the largest (128, 380, 445). 220 of them exist. |
| Jodi | Two digits, 00 to 99: the open ank on the left, the close ank on the right. |
| Open / Close | The two halves of every result: the open panna is declared first, the close panna an hour or two later. |
| SP, DP, TP | SP (single patti) has three different digits, DP (double patti) repeats one digit, TP (triple patti) is one digit three times. |
| Red jodi | One of 20 special jodis: a double such as 11 or 22, or a cut pair such as 05, 16, 27, 38 or 49 (and their reverses). |
| Cut digit | A digit's partner five steps away — 0 and 5, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9. |
| Half sangam / full sangam | Half sangam pairs one side's panna with the other side's ank; full sangam pairs both pannas. |
| Starline / Jackpot | Hourly games: Starline gives a panna with its ank each hour, Jackpot gives a jodi each hour. |
Take 389-01-137. Open panna 389 → 3+8+9 = 20 → open ank 0. Close panna 137 → 1+3+7 = 11 → close ank 1. Put them side by side: jodi 01. Both 389 and 137 have three different digits, so both are single pattis (SP).
